TANZANIA by 4×4 motorcycle assisted Kilimanjaro-Natron-Manyara with OPTION+ 1 week on ZANZIBAR

An area with Africa's highest peak, Kilimanjaro, to which Ernest Hemingway devoted as many as two books. The area with the world's largest inactive, undamaged and unfilled Ngorongoro caldera, which is a huge - more than 600 meters deep and over 260 km² wide - funnel, the remnant of a huge volcano millions of years ago, providing shelter for more than 25,000 large animals today. An area over which the Great Migration spectacularly glides every year, and finally an area where the Masai live in large numbers with their colorful clothing and culture of pastoral peoples. Northern Tanzania, these few words about it, an African paradise that loves tourists, with the even more paradisiacal and tourist-loving island of Zanzibar.  

Neither is it a travel expedition, not a sightseeing tour, and not a chillout in nature. It is first and foremost a well-organized and safe adventure in the wilderness of Northern Tanzania, for globetrotters expecting relative luxury, yet an adventure full of dust, sweat, sometimes tears of more than laughter, exhausting struggles with discomfort and fatigue. One can say about the event: almost an expedition, almost a tour, almost a party, almost an enduro rally, for almost beginners and almost seasoned moto-tourists.

WHAT IS THE PROPOSAL AND FOR WHOM?

This is our next edition of the highly successful African wilderness exploration in relatively tourist-friendly Northern Tanzania with OPTION+ to extend your stay o a time of real chillout on a paradise island Zanzibar. 

It's not a trip for the comfortable - there won't be much asphalt or even a paved trail, there won't be a modern and air-conditioned coach or multivan, there won't be roadside cafes and aromatic coffee, there won't be restaurants with gourmet game, there won't be vegetable salads, fish pastes, pasta and compote, there won't be public toilets, there won't be walks or visits to museums - there won't be the comfort of daytime travel, or massages at a "fancy" spa 😎 !!! 

It's not a travel expedition either - there will be no boundless freedom and unfettered spontaneity 😉 !!!

Rather, it's an African adventure on a breathtaking scenic route, in close contact with truly wild nature and indigenous culture, incomparable to all others - full of inconveniences, clouds of dust, scorching sun and only comfortable evenings in luxurious LODGEs, climate-controlled (and air-conditioned) hotels, with hot showers, a comfortable bed with whitewashed sheets, a minibar and a pool in the middle of the African steppe.... An adventure for those curious to experience an almost OFF-ROAD journey of any form and level of difficulty, in a small group, on super indestructible and almost new Royal Enfields, or in the seat of a tough Toyota Land Cruiser with 69...

WHAT IS THE PLAN IN A NUTSHELL?

Two of our recommended connections are flights from Warsaw with 1 change in Amsterdam (KLM), or Doha (QATAR) and to Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, which takes about 14h. We provide an on-site transfer from Kilimanjaro to Arusha, it is essential to be on site the day before the start date of our event, or early in the morning on the day of the event. We help organize the flight from Poland (our pilot also flies) and help you book hotels on site in Arusha.

Most participants will probably take our recommendations and even decide to coordinate their flight with that of our pilot, which may mean that the group will still be completed at the Poland airport. However, depending on your individual flight preferences, we will meet you in Kilimanjaro, or Arusha on the day of the event, from there we will provide your transfers to the actual hotel where we open our African event with an evening dinner.

6 days of driving from hotel to hotel on our itinerary, and on the way in between Africa in full breath (See program below). We end on the 7th day in Arusha at the same place where we started. For those who decide to take an optional and additional week on ZANZIBAR, we will make recommendations for local flights and arrange airport transfers, of course.

The return will look quite similar to the arrival.

WHAT IS THE FORMULA?

Participants arrive by flight at their own expense and organization (we provide support in the selection of connections, and for a group of more than 10 people declaring acceptance of the suggested flight connection also in the purchase of air tickets). The program of the stay takes into account the needs of tourism in the land part of Tanzania and leisure in the optional part of the stay on the island of Zanzibar. Transit along the designated route and implementation of the program points will be carried out in a group formula, for which the organizers have provided a Polish-speaking pilot-guide of the expedition on a motorcycle, a local guardian (local pilot) of the group on a motorcycle and a local pilot-driver assisting an off-road car with seats for passengers. Participants are provided with the means of transportation in the form of motorcycles and an off-road car with a driver for the duration of the trip, at their disposal and in accordance with a prior reservation statement.

For a group of up to 14 people, a maximum of 1 pilot-expedition leader will be assigned, responsible for efficient organization in the group, leading the group along the designated route, implementing the prescribed program, communication and coordination with the organizer and local guides, translation support at tourist sites. Participants will follow the off-tarmac trail (approximately 80% of the route) and asphalt (approximately 20% of the route) at a tourist pace in a compact group.
