Introduction

Land of high passes with preserved traces of human habitation from Neolithic times... Historic Western Tibet, called Little Tibet... A beautiful piece of Asia between the main Himalayan range and the Karakorum mountains - Ladakh because a few words about it - an administrative region of India in the upper reaches of the Indus River, within the borders of Jammu and Kashmir. And a little to the south, towards the border with Pakistan, supposedly an extension - the fabulous mountains and valleys of Zanskar. Views that can be seen nowhere else, emotions that can be felt nowhere else.

Organized over 11 days, a tourist adventure amidst the rugged yet beautiful landscapes of the world's highest mountains, a real "roller coaster" with passable passes at an altitude of more than 5000 meters above sea level , deep gorges, in direct contact with nature and Tibetan culture.

Description

WHAT IS THIS OFFER?

It is a tourist trip, by definition aimed at getting to know the country, interesting places and local culture. There are no elements of stunt in the event, including rivalry and competition. Participants travel as a group, spend time as a group and support each other.

Why Ledakh and Zanskar?

Ledakh has been an independent kingdom under the strong influence of Tibet for centuries, while maintaining a distinct identity and traditions. It is among the highest-altitude and inhabited places on Earth, with a stalwart in Leh - located at 3,600 meters above sea level. It is inhabited by descendants of Tibetans who migrated here more than a thousand years ago and little has changed since then, making it considered one of the best places in the world to learn about the original Tibetan culture.

A sizable part of the land is the Zaskar (Zanskar) Mountains of the Himalayas - a true mosaic of colors and shapes attracting globetrotters from all over the world. Although almost entirely Ladakh is an arid and harsh land, with desert areas where during the day the scorching
the sun illuminates the lunar landscapes, and at night the penetrating chill can make its mark, it is here that Buddhist temples, rivers, rivers, lakes, sand dunes, camels, yaks, sheep and places forgotten by the world, where people have lived for centuries. READ MORE ON OUR BLOG...

WHAT IS THE PLAN IN A NUTSHELL?

We start in Leh, where we will arrive by connection from Delhi. Here motorcycles, a service and luggage car, staff and a local guide await us. We will see the most interesting corners of the Ladakh region. We will visit the most beautiful Buddhist monasteries of the Indus Valley. We will taste the motorcycle "roller coster" in the highest mountains of the world. We will visit the picturesque lakes of Pangong Tso and Tso Moriri. During the trip we will cross several times the passes located above 5000 m above sea level. The icing on the cake will be the world's highest pass permitted for vehicular traffic - Khardung La! We will also visit the fabulous Zanskar Valley. For the first time we will have the opportunity to drive out of this doina on a new road, which will be opened to public traffic in 2020! As befits this part of the world - we will all be riding Royal Enfields.

WHO IS THE TRIP FOR?

An offer primarily for lovers of group travel expeditions (expeditions without luxury, with a certain degree of unpredictability, but with a controlled margin of risk), lovers of diverse landscapes, Asian nature and weather, remnants of ancient culture and architecture, in my opinion - an offer for all who want to spend several days of exciting expedition in the northernmost part of India. Scheduled in the favorable tourist - for this destination - period of August, it will allow to take advantage of the most favorable weather conditions to spend time, collect beautiful memories, photo and video reports.
