Introduction

Glacier caps shimmering in the sun, and against their background active and extinct volcano craters, hot springs, geysers, natural spas and lagoons, jagged fjord rocks with waves crashing against them, boundless expanses covered with black lava and forest oases in the middle of nowhere.... Somewhere there - hidden in the bushes, among peat houses like from Tolkien's Hobbit tale - Elves... This is what Iceland is like - wild, harsh, diverse, beautiful and somewhat mysterious.

A short, only 8-day, stationary and roundtrip, intensive, effective and impressive exploration of the southern part of the Island of the Four Elements, in a classic program with the Golden Circle and the cleanest air in Europe. Accompanied flight, intimate group, comfortable van on site, 2 accommodation bases throughout the stay, sightseeing road trip and trekking as standard, with options for the discerning boat trip and horse trip, all activities interspersed with relaxation in geothermal spas. A trip for the travel-oriented and not demanding excessive luxury, somewhat austere, like the harsh place it leads to, but unimaginably phenomenal and unique. A classic in a European's travel calendar - Iceland in a nutshell and, for many, a prelude to further, bolder explorations... perhaps Tour de Iceland by motorcycles and campers... 🙂 ...

UPDATE

WHAT AND FOR WHOM IS THE TRIP?

A several-day nature and sightseeing trip to Europe's most beautiful island. The tour includes the southern part of the island with the easternmost Vatnajökull glacier and the so-called Golden Circle located north of Reykjavik - approx. A 300-kilometer route leading to three of Iceland's most popular natural attractions: the Geysir geothermal area, Gullfoss waterfall and Thingvellir National Park

Emphasis in the organization of the expedition was placed on determining the most interesting route possible, with places of great tourist attraction, ensuring a balance between travel time and stationary time, and creating conditions for establishing good relations between participants, while taking care to maintain the expected privacy. It is at the same time a tourist trip, by definition aimed at getting to know the country, interesting places and local culture.

Accommodation in hotels, guesthouses, or comfortable guest houses, at least one meal at the table a day, make the trip relatively comfortable.

A proposal suitable for all those who find in themselves the spirit and fierceness of a traveler, dream of distant journeys, but do not have the experience and time necessary to organize such a trip well. For all those who feel much more comfortable in the assistance of someone who will guide, advise, help, organize, communicate, literally - cushion and allow you to enjoy the time and place, allow you to fully relax taking over the tedious and laborious organizational tasks.

WHAT IS THE PLAN IN A NUTSHELL?

Departure from Poland (GDN) on Friday early in the morning with landing in Keflavik (KEF) on the same day before noon, or from any other airport (convenient connections Wroclaw, Warsaw) and any other flight to Keflavik, Iceland at a date and time allowing to arrive at the designated assembly place on DAY 1 of the program (the place and time of the assembly will be specified in the ROAD BOOK issued approximately 1 week before the date of travel).

This Keflavik airport is the starting and ending point of our organized exploration tour of Iceland. Our pilot, together with the group, picks up the prepared rental car and the same day begins the 8-day adventure in the southern part of the island - considered the most beautiful part of the island. Two accommodations, 2 base camps provided for the entire program. From them daily explorations of the island will take place according to the prepared and tested program.

Return to airport and return flight on 8th day of stay in Friday in the evening From Keflavik (KEF) to Poland. However, due to favorable connection prices, we recommend taking the Saturday morning connection. The difference in the ticket price and the absence of a return flight at night will probably compensate for the evening in the intimate capital of Iceland.

Below are sample connections for recommended flight dates:

WHAT IS THE FORMULA?

Participants arrive by flight at their own expense and organization (we provide support in the selection and purchase of airline tickets, we do not support group purchase, for which min. 10 people in a group from/to the same departure/return point).

The program of the stay takes into account the needs of tourists - the passage along the designated route and the implementation of the program points will be carried out in a group formula, for which the organizers have provided a person in charge (pilot-group leader).

For each 8-person tourist group, 1 expedition pilot will be assigned, responsible for efficient organization in the group, leading the group along the designated route, implementation of the planned program, communication and coordination at the place of program implementation, translation support at tourist sites.
