WHAT IS THE PROPOSAL AND FOR WHOM?
This is one of our regular annual motorized expeditions, which we recommend to anyone with even a little experience in caravanning touring, determined to travel in a group on roads of varying difficulty and with varying conditions - in addition to easy sections of road to be traversed, also challenging winding mountain sections, in varying weather and lighting conditions. Participants can be anyone who owns a camper up to 3.5 tons (recommended camper-van, or a semi-integrated camper with a short trunk, capable of negotiating mountain serpentines), or will take advantage of our rental assistance in the network of partner rental companies - technically efficient and comfortable enough to travel the indicated distance with us at the pace and time assumed in the program.
Our destination is the natural, historical and architectural treasures in 3 of Romania's most attractive tourist lands: 1) Marmarosh (Maramureş) - a true refuge of folklore, whose landscape is made up of gentle mountain ridges and traditional wooden houses, gates and churches with soaring towers, whose uniqueness has been recognized by its inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List, 2) Bukovina with 16th-century monasteries - true architectural marvels, whose exterior walls painted in images referring to the Bible, legends and historical events have delighted visitors for centuries. Monastery complexes in Arbore, Vatra Moldavitsa, Voronets, Gura Humorului, Patrauti, Probot and Suceava have been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, and one of them in the "must see" list of our tour. Also on the agenda is a slice of Polishness in Bukovina in the village of Kaczyce.... 3) Transylvania (Transylvania) - a historic land, tucked into the swirl of the Carpathian Mountains, surrounded by an aura of mystery, with numerous well-preserved monuments, with tangible evidence of the interpenetration of many cultures, religions and nationalities, as well as magnificent nature. On the list of must see - the Old Town in Brasov, the Castle in Bran, the Small Market in Sibiu surrounded by 15th century townhouses, the Clock Tower with the Historical Museum in Sighișoara (Segieszow), the Transfogaraska Road leading from Brasov to the ruins of Poenari Castle (historically the closest place associated with the figure of Vlad the Impaler - Dracula). Whether the road running from Sebes to Novaci, which will provide unforgettable experiences and views, is the destination of travelers and is called the Transalpina - the national road numbered DN67C, the highest in Romania, at the Urdele Pass reaches 2145 meters above sea level.
A proposal suitable for all those who dream of distant travel, do not yet have experience, want to try a relatively near "home", do not have the experience and time necessary to organize this type of trip well. For all those who feel much more comfortable in the assistance of someone who will guide, advise, help, organize, communicate, literally - cushion and let you enjoy the time and place, let you fully relax by taking over the responsibilities of organization.
WHAT IS THE PLAN IN A NUTSHELL?
The journey was divided into 3 contractual stages: 1. transit to/ towards a destination in Romania, 2 Destination - destination Romania 3. transit from/ in the return direction to Poland.
Heading out contractual day one morning (from a conventional place in Poland, most often from the vicinity of Krakow) along a planned route through Slovakia, Hungary towards Satu Mare in Romania. Stage 1 of the transit will take us 1 day, during which no tourist attractions are planned, and the route takes highways to reach the place of the actual organization as quickly as possible.
For stage 2, tourist-appropriate, provided for up to 12 days touring according to the developed program, with organizational and logistical support in the places where the group is stationed (on request: organization of free time, organization of optional excursions, organization of local transport, etc.). In Romania, our "voyages" take their beginning and end... at a pace appropriate to the practice of tourism, over short distances and with a licensed pilot at the head - the most interesting places, with countless attractions as far as the eye can see. Ahead of us are good, but also not the best quality roads, panoramic routes, viewpoints in the mountains, interesting places, people, traditional restaurants, fun and plenty of time spent together.
After nearly 13 days of an extraordinary expedition, stage 3 and the return, in part different from stage 1. Back to Poland , day 14 of our trip late in the evening.
WHAT IS THE FORMULA?
Participants arrive at the place of the contractual start of the event (the place indicated in the Road Book) at their own expense and organization.
The program of the expedition takes into account the needs of tourism and recreation - the passage of the designated route and the implementation of the points of the program will be held in an organized and group formula, for which the Organizers have provided a leading person (Pilot-Group Manager) in his own camping vehicle, remaining at the disposal of the Participants throughout the duration of the expedition and for 24/7. The details of the program will be presented to the participants of the expedition in the form of a so-called "tour". ROAD BOOK with plotted important GPS points and made available a few days before the trip.
The touring formula of caravanning expeditions involves implementation of all program points Within the stipulated timeframe, but without a detailed and tight schedule. Such a formula leaves a lot of freedom to the Participants of the trip, and to the Pilot responsible for the full implementation of the objectives, the possibility of adjusting the course of the program to the current conditions of the environment, including the needs of the Participants.
The tour program follows a proven pattern:
- Day trip with the caravan led by the Pilot is carried out according to the time plan and between the places indicated in the Road Book which are the planned tourist attractions and places of planned overnight camping
- The participants of the expedition may move outside the caravan, at their own pace and follow their own itinerary only between the places of planned camping (the places of overnight camping are the checkpoints for completing the group)
- movement of the caravan led by the Pilot between overnight camping sites shall be carried out in accordance with the principle of providing Participants with 1-2 picnic stops during the day of travel with a total duration of up to 90 minutes, as well as stops provided for tourist sites, as planned in the Road Book
- Arrival of the caravan led by the Pilot to the overnight camping site by 7:00 pm
- camping/bivouacing in places planned up to a maximum of 3 days in the program of one expedition
- leaving camping sites on the day of departure by 8:30 a.m.
The pilot-leader of the expedition is responsible for efficient organization in the group, leading the group along the designated route, subject and timely implementation of the stipulated program, communication and coordination, translation support at tourist sites. In the case of more than one group, they will move at their own pace with their own assigned pilot, and the consolidation of groups will take place in the designated places of organization of the common part (places of tourist attractions, camping places).
