Introduction

11 times smaller than Poland, still wild and beautiful, full of places forgotten by civilization, including those sparsely inhabited, where cordial and hospitable people lead life in a rhythm unchanged for centuries, with countless monuments unknown from movies, books and guidebooks... Crystal clear water, sensational weather (there are about 290 sunny days a year!) and beautiful beaches make it today a dream destination not only for vacation trips... This is Albania.

Right next door - and as they write about it: "a country that can be traversed in a single day, changing landscapes as if in a kaleidoscope - from gloomy peaks and deep canyons to sunny beaches..., from stony karst deserts to olive groves..., from the marshy shores of the largest lake in this part of Europe to the steep fjord of Boka Kotorska...". - Montenegro (Montenegro), where Venetian towns sit side by side with villages inhabited by the original Albanian settlers, and Orthodox churches with mosques.

Proposal for an organized caravanning expedition in a group of several campers. The goal - exploration of the pearls of the Balkans: Albania and Montenegro, from the starting point and to the end point in Montenegro, in a touring formula and overnight stays along the transit route. At a distance of about 1,700 km and up to 12 days including many attractions in the program (a little over 3 days in Montenegro, less than 9 days in Albania)... in addition, a 4-day highway transit with evening attractions in Serbia and Croatia!

WHAT IS THE PROPOSAL AND FOR WHOM?

This is our next, the 8th edition of the trip, or rather, a touring, caravanning format expedition to Albania combined with Montenegro... This is not a stationary vacation on the Albanian Riviera. We travel to see and explore as much as possible. We do not stop for more than 2 nights in any of the places on the road.

We will guide you along roads not taken by well-known travel agencies, we will show you places that are beautiful, charming, hours-long uninhabited, which are not often visited by foreign wanderers. We won't miss those for which Globetrotters, Youtubers and Instagrammers devote headlines and covers of the biggest projects: Tara Gorge, Lovcen, Boka Kotorska In Montenegro, Albania: SH20, SH21, National Park Theth, lake Komani, S22, SH5 edge of Mountains of the Damned, a UNESCO-listed city of a thousand windows. Berat, ancient Butrint, Saranda (with Blue Eye), Ksamil, while on the way back SH8 via Llogara National Park, finally Albania's first capital and an early 3rd century BC city. - Kruja With an atmospheric place on top of the castle hill. You'll see it all up close, touching, tasting and photographing it all during a 12-day trip in an organized group, over a distance of Approximately 1,700 km on asphalt roads (about 90%) and poor quality paved roads (about 10%) Under the care of an experienced Pilot. During the Albanian trip, a tour of particularly important and attractive places is planned with local guides.

It is a trip, a journey, and perhaps the trip of a lifetime for:

  • Owners and/or lessees of so-called special camping vehicles, or other vehicles adapted for tourist travel with the possibility of camping in any conditions in the wilderness (adequately equipped with camping accessories, toilets, kitchen, own power supply)
  • lovers of active sightseeing and travel (who prioritize on-the-go tourism over stationary-recreation tourism)
  • Supporters of traveling in a group, betting on social spending of time

WHAT IS THE PLAN IN A NUTSHELL?

The journey was divided into 3 contractual stages: 1. transit to/ towards a destination in Montenegro, 2 Destination - destination Montenegro and Albania,  3. transit from/ in the return direction to Poland.

Heading out contractual day one morning (from a conventional place in Poland, most often from near Czestochowa) by a planned route through Hungary, Serbia towards Pljevlja, or the Tara Gorge in Montenegro. Stage 1 of the transit will take us 2 days, during which no tourist attractions are planned, and the route leads through highways to reach the place of the actual organization as quickly as possible.

For stage 2, inherently touristic, up to 12 days touring according to the developed program as below, with organizational and logistic support in the places where the group is stationed (on request: organization of free time, organization of optional excursions, organization of local transportation, etc.). In Montenegro (Montenegro) take its beginning and end of our "voyages" ... at a pace appropriate to the Balkans, on small distances and with a licensed pilot at the head - the most interesting places, with countless attractions as far as the eye can see. Ahead of us are good, but also not the best quality roads, panoramic routes, viewpoints in the mountains and on the coast, interesting places, people, traditional restaurants, fun and lots of time spent together.

After nearly 12 days of an extraordinary expedition, stage 3 and the return, in part different from stage 1. Back to Poland , day 16 of our trip late in the evening.

WHAT IS THE FORMULA?

Participants arrive at the place of the contractual start of the event (the place indicated in the Road Book in the south of Poland, or at the designated assembly points along the route of the first day) at their own expense and organization. They continue traveling under the care and guidance of the pilot, according to the scheduled program.

The program of the expedition takes into account the needs of tourism and recreation - the passage of the designated route and the implementation of the points of the program will be held in an organized and group formula, for which the Organizers have provided a leading person (Pilot-Group Manager) in his own camping vehicle, remaining at the disposal of the Participants throughout the duration of the expedition and for 24/7. The details of the program will be presented to the participants of the expedition in the form of a so-called "tour". ROAD BOOK with plotted important GPS points and made available a few days before the trip.

The touring formula of caravanning expeditions involves implementation of all program points Within the stipulated timeframe, but without a detailed and tight schedule. Such a formula leaves a lot of freedom to the Participants of the trip, and to the Pilot responsible for the full implementation of the objectives, the possibility of adjusting the course of the program to the current conditions of the environment, including the needs of the Participants.

The tour program follows a proven pattern:

  • Day trip with the caravan led by the Pilot is carried out according to the time plan and between the places indicated in the Road Book which are the planned tourist attractions and places of planned overnight camping
  • The participants of the expedition may move outside the caravan, at their own pace and follow their own itinerary only between the places of planned camping (the places of overnight camping are the checkpoints for completing the group)
  • movement of the caravan led by the Pilot between overnight camping sites shall be carried out in accordance with the principle of providing Participants with 1-2 picnic stops during the day of travel with a total duration of up to 90 minutes, as well as stops provided for tourist sites, as planned in the Road Book
  • Arrival of the caravan led by the Pilot to the overnight camping site by 7:00 pm
  • camping/bivouacing in places planned up to a maximum of 3 days in the program of one expedition
  • leaving camping sites on the day of departure by 8:30 a.m.

The pilot-leader of the expedition is responsible for efficient organization in the group, leading the group along the designated route, subject and timely implementation of the stipulated program, communication and coordination, translation support at tourist sites. In the case of more than one group, they will move at their own pace with their own assigned pilot, and the consolidation of groups will take place in the designated places of organization of the common part (places of tourist attractions, camping places).
